Abstract
Dear readers
The Editorial Board of the Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques (J Dent Mater Tech) is pleased to share an important achievement. The journal has received its first Journal Impact Factor of 0.3 according to Clarivate Journal Citation Reports 2025. This marks an important step in the journal's development and reflects our ongoing efforts to publish high-quality research in dental materials and clinical techniques.
This achievement has been made possible through the dedication of many people. We sincerely thank our authors for choosing our journal, our reviewers for their careful evaluations, our Editorial Board members for their guidance, our readers for their continued interest, and our editorial staff for their hard work. We also appreciate the support of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences throughout this journey.
Receiving our first Impact Factor is an encouraging milestone, but it is only the beginning. Our goal is to continue improving the quality of the journal, expand collaboration with researchers around the world, and increase our contribution to evidence-based dentistry. We remain committed to maintaining high editorial standards while supporting the publication of valuable scientific research.
As the journal has grown, we have continued to improve our editorial and peer-review processes. Over the past five years, the manuscript rejection rate has increased from about 45% to approximately 80%. This reflects our commitment to selecting studies that are scientifically strong, clinically relevant, and in accordance with the journal's scope. The most common reasons for rejection are that manuscripts do not meet the required scientific standards or fall outside the scope of the journal. Every submission undergoes careful editorial evaluation and independent peer review to ensure that accepted articles meet our scientific and ethical standards.
We warmly invite researchers, clinicians, and academic institutions from all countries to submit their best work to the Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques. We believe that international collaboration and the exchange of scientific knowledge will help improve the quality, diversity, and global reach of the journal.
We also encourage researchers to read and use the research published in our journal. When articles published in the Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques are relevant to their work, we encourage authors to cite them appropriately. Responsible citation of relevant research helps share scientific knowledge, increases the visibility of valuable scientific findings, and supports the continued growth of the journal.
Thank you once again to everyone who has contributed to the success of the Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques. We look forward to working with the international dental research community to advance research and improve patient care through high-quality scientific publications.
Sincerely
